William “Bill” Eugene Chapin, age 71, of Huntington, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 12, 2024. He was born on April 10, 1953, in Huntington, IN, to the late Donald and Sylvia (Bowman) Chapin. He married Candy Riley on November 17, 2000, and she survives and resides in Huntington.
Bill was a 1971 graduate of Huntington North High School. He was a truck driver for Noll Printing, Hiner Transport, City Beverage, and then retired from 5 Star Distributing. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion. He enjoyed bowling and golf.
Along with his wife, Candy, he is survived by one son, Tyler (Kari) Young, Huntington, IN; two daughters, Jennifer (Jeremy) Stender, Huntington, IN, Miranda (Adam) Knott, TN; three brothers, Jerry (Linda) Chapin, Donald Chapin, Doug (Suzy) Chapin, all of Huntington, IN; and 6 grandchildren, Alexia, Mason, Madeleine, Carson, Abram and Kylie.
To honor the wishes of Bill there will be no services.
A private burial will be at a later date.
