William Alex Denton

William Alex Denton, age 52, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN.

William was born on April 16, 1970, in Huntington, IN, to Floyd and Sharon (Steiner) Denton. His father survives and his mother preceded him in death.  

Along with his father, he is survived by two sons, Landen Denton, Ethan Denton, both of Huntington, IN; three daughters, Marissa Denton, Shaylynn Huffman, Mariah Huffman, all of Huntington, IN; step-children, Brayden Huffman, Madison Ford, both of Huntington, IN; brothers, Thomas (Christina) Denton, Huntington, IN, Mark (Lori) Nei, Paoli, IN, John Hoffert, Larwill, IN, Tim (Lucinda) Martz, Columbia City, IN; sisters, Sherri (Michael) Smetzer, Holly (Mallory) Smith, Victoria Martin, all of Huntington, IN; and one granddaughter, Alayna Denton.

Along with his mother he was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Denton.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at McElhaney-Hart/Deal Rice Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, Indiana 46750.

A private burial will be at a later date at Gardens of Memory, Marion, IN.
