Wendy J. Abt

Wendy J. Abt, 60, of Huntington, IN, passed away August 5, 2022, at Stillwater Hospice, Fort Wayne, IN.  She was born October 14, 1961, in Harvard, Illinois.  Her parents are Terry and April Bovenmyer of Fennimore, WI.

Wendy retired from General Motors after 39 years from 1981 – 2020.  She was a member of the American Legion Post 160 Ladies Auxiliary in Roanoke, IN.  Wendy loved to cook and work in her garden.  She was a huge Green Bay Packers fan.

In addition to her parents, Wendy is survived by one son, Ryan Abt of Loganville, GA; former husband, John Abt of Loganville, GA; one brother, Jeff (his wife Amy) Bovenmyer of Janesville, WI; and one sister, Shelly (her husband Russ) Downing of Fennimore, WI.

To honor Wendy’s request, there will be no services at this time.  

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
