Wanda B. (Schenkel) Mickley

Wanda B. Mickley, age 101, of Warren, IN, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN.

Wanda was born on January 31, 1923, to Roman and Helena (Gemmer) Schenkel in Bippus, IN.  She married Donald E. Mickley on April 5, 1942, and he preceded her in death on December 23, 2000.

Wanda was a graduate of Lancaster High School in 1941.  She was a former member of the East State Street Church in Huntington.

Wanda is survived by her daughter-in-law, Kathy (Al) Shockley, Huntington, IN; five grandchildren, Ross Nosker, Lori (Dan) Schreck, Kevin Mickley, Kendall (Lori) Mickley, Troy (Vicki) Mickley, all of Huntington, IN; 8 great grandchildren, Erica Nosker, Nicholas Schreck, Zackory Schreck, Leah Schreck, Chase Mickley, Maggie Mickley, Katie Mickley and Barrett Mickley.

Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son, Barry L. Mickley; her daughter, Connie Nosker; son-in-law, Ron Nosker; five brothers, Harold Schenkel, Donald Schenkel, Warren Schenkel, Dale E. Schenkel, Ardin Schenkel; and three sisters, Ruby Zirkle, Mary Francis McBride, and Melba Richardson.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at The Heritage Pointe Applegate Chapel, 801 Huntington Avenue, Warren, IN, 46792.

A private burial will be at Gardens of Memory, Marion, IN.
