Ted Newsome

Ted Newsome, 84, of Andrews, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Parkview Huntington Hospital. 

Ted was born on August 1, 1937, in Ligon, Kentucky to the late Crit and Dixie (Johnson) Newsome.   He married Sandra Schultz on July 7, 1964, and she preceded him in death on July 30, 2005.

Ted worked as a construction worker and built bridges.

Ted is survived by one son, Robert (Julie) Newsome, Huntington, IN; step-son, Charles Bosell, Wabash Co, IN; two sisters, Elzada (Charles) Henson, Huntington, IN, Sue Burke, Ashland, KY; four grandchildren, Robbie Newsome, South Whitley, Race (Shelby) Newsome, Huntington, C. J. Bosell, Andrews, Natasha Bosell, Fort Wayne; and two great grandchildren.

Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob Newsome, Frank Newsome, Taylor Newsome; and two sisters, Mary Prater and Phyllis Jean Oswalt.

To honor the wishes of Ted there will be no services.

A private burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Andrews, IN.
