Sr. Regina Marie Morrissey, OLVM

SISTER REGINA MARIE MORRISSEY, OLVM, age 94, a resident of Saint Anne’s Community, Victory Noll, Huntington, Indiana, died peacefully in the late afternoon of Friday,  July 14, 2023.

Sister Regina Marie was born in Jackson, Michigan on February 20, 1929, to Robert E. Morrissey and Florence Hahn Morrissey.  She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert J. Morrissey and Joseph F. Morrissey and her sister Maureen Morrissey. Sister Regina Marie is survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and her Victory Noll Sisters with whom she shared life and community for almost 70 years.

Sister Regina Marie entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on September 6, 1953, and made first vows on August 5, 1956.  She served in the States in Missouri, Texas, Indiana, New Jersey, and Ohio. Her last place of ministry was as the Director of Religious Education at St. Gerard Parish, Lima, Ohio before returning to Victory Noll. 

A Vigil Service will be held at 4 PM Friday July 21, 2023, at Bishop Noll Memorial Chapel. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Saturday, July 22, 2023, also at Bishop Noll Memorial Chapel, Victory Noll.

Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery immediately following the liturgy.
