SISTER Jeanette Halbach, OLVM, age 96, a resident of Heritage Pointe of Warren, died on the morning of Friday, May 22, 2026.
Sister Jeanette entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on September 6, 1955, and made first vows on August 5, 1958. Sister Jeanette’s missionary life called her to serve in Colorado, Iowa, Massachusetts, Illinois and Indiana.
Sister Jeanette was born in Primghar, Iowa on December 2, 1930, to Joseph Halbach and Loretta (Cassidy) Halbach. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents and sister, Jocelyn Halbach Rafflo. She is survived by a niece and nephew and her Victory Noll Sisters with whom she shared life and community for 70 years.
The Vigil Service for Sister Jeanette will be at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the Applegate Chapel at the Heritage Pointe of Warren.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Applegate Chapel at Heritage Pointe in Warren. If you would like to participate via livestream, the link is:

Burial will follow at Victory Noll Cemetery in Huntington, IN.
