Sister Maria Margarita Moreno-Patino, OLVM

SISTER MARIA MARGARITA MORENO-PATINO, OLVM, 85, a resident of Saint Anne at Victory Noll, died Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Saint Anne at Victory Noll, Huntington, Indiana.

Sister Margarita was born in Parita Provincia de Herrera, Panama on January 13, 1935, to Pedro Moreno and Manuela Patino Moreno. Sister Margarita is preceded in death by her three brothers, Jose Moreno Patino, Rodolfo Moreno Patino and Pedro Moreno Patino; and by two sisters, Felicidad Moreno Patino, and Elva Moreno. Her nieces and nephews, both in Panama and in the United States, survive her.  Her Victory Noll sisters, with whom she shared life and community for 22 years, also survive Sister Margarita.

Sister Margarita entered the Panamanian Congregation, Catechist of the Miraculous Medal in 1954. She transferred to the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on October 19, 1998, and completed her transfer on June 16, 2002.   She served in the missions at San Bernardino, California and Los Lunas New Mexico, where her main ministry was in adult formation to the Hispanic community.   Sister returned to Victory Noll in 2014.

All services will be private with burial at Victory Noll Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
