Sharon M. (Brooks) Sprowl

Sharon M. Sprowl, age 84, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at her residence.

Sharon was born on February 16, 1941, in Huntington, IN, to the late John B. and Mable (Shivley) Brooks. She married Michael G. Sprowl on September 22, 1962, and together they shared 63 years of marriage.  He survives and resides in Fort Wayne, IN. 

Sharon graduated in 1959 from Huntington High School.  She worked for Indiana Bell as a telephone operator and later as a supervisor for the maintenance department for 22 years.  With her husband, they lived in Michigan for 17 years, Texas for 3 years and Louisiana for 13 years and came back to reside in Fort Wayne for their retirement.

Along with her husband, Michael, she is survived by one son, Michael Ray (Charlotte) Sprowl, Hartford City, IN; one granddaughter, Suzette Corbin, Fortville, IN; and two great-grandchildren, Emma Corbin and Grifin Corbin.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Hare, Helen Reilley; and one brother, John Brooks.

To honor the wishes of Sharon there will be no calling or services.

A private burial will be held at Mt. Etna Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
