Sharon Gale (Turner) Fording

Sharon Gale Fording, age 70, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Parkview Wabash Hospital surrounded by her family.

Sharon was born on January 26, 1953, in St. Louis, MO, to the late Eugene and Lois (Mongold) Turner.  She married Jerry Burdell Fording on May 24, 1990, and he survives and resides in Huntington.

Sharon was retired and had worked many years as a laborer in a factory.

Along with her husband, Jerry; she is survived by two sons, Michael (Rebecca) Bixler, Chad (Nicole) Bixler, both of Huntington, IN; two daughters, Tammy Oden, Huntington, IN, April Ramirez, Bluffton, IN; and four stepchildren, Jerry, Jeremy, Jason and Amanda.  She is also survived by two brothers, Gary Turner, Milton Turner; 22 grandchildren, and 16 great- grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Easley, Donald Easley; four sisters, Gerry Johnson, Joyce Reinier, Kathy Coones, and Donna Fahl.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart/Deal Rice Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.

A Graveside Burial will be held at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
