Shane Alan Hunt

Shane Alan Hunt, age 44, of Huntington, IN, died on Monday, August 11, 2025, at his residence in Huntington.

Shane was born on September 6, 1980, in Tipton, IN, to Duane and Gale (Troutman) Hunt. His mother preceded him in death and his father survives in South Whitley, IN.

Shane was an LP driver for Suburban Propane.

Shane is survived by three daughters, Chloe Hunt, Roanoke, IN, Lexi Hunt, Gemma Hunt, both of Huntington, IN; his father, Duane, South Whitley, IN; one brother, James (Martha) Hunt, Huntington, IN; one sister, Alysia (Jeremy) Thornsberry, Andrews, IN; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Along with his mother, Gale, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Theresa Taylor, Dawn Hunter; and one infant brother, Duane C. Hunt.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at McElhaney Funeral Home, Roanoke Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN 46783 with Pastor Jason Fields officiating.

A private burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to his daughters, in care of Chloe Hunt, to help with their future plans in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington IN 46750.
