Scott "Foo" Edward Frewer

Scott Edward “Foo” Frewer, age 64, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne.  Scott was born on September 27, 1961, in Huntington, IN, to the late Erwin Edward and Vivian A. (Schaffer) Frewer.  He married Judith Ann Young on June 10, 1989, and she survives and resides in Huntington.

Scott was a 1980 graduate of Huntington North High School.  He was the sexton at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington for many years.   He thoroughly enjoyed his time as the sexton and took great pride caring for the grounds. He had also worked for WA Zimmer for 25 years and delivered papers for the Fort Wayne Newspaper and USA Today.   Scott was a longtime member of the Huntington Jaycees, a member of Emergency Management and a member at Faith Community Church of God in Huntington.  When Scott wasn’t caring for the grounds at the cemetery you could find him chopping wood, feeding the squirrels, watching a fire in the backyard, or watching Chicago Cubs baseball.  He enjoyed spending time with his family because they were everything to him, and he will be greatly missed by them.

Along with his wife, Judy, he is survived by one son, Sage (Kelcy) Frewer, Chippewa Falls, WI; one daughter, Brandi (David) Rash, Noblesville, IN; one brother, Michael (Dianne) Frewer, Clayton, IN; one grandson, Oliver Frewer; and many, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.

Additional calling hours will be on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service at Faith Community Church of God, 3615 N. Norwood Road, Huntington, IN, 46750, with Pastor Jason Fields officiating.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mt. Hope Cemetery Association Fund or Faith Community Church of God in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
