Scott Tarter

Scott Tarter, age 59, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN.  Scott was born on March 10, 1964, in Huntington, IN, to the late Edward L. and Bonnie (Juergensmeier) Tarter.

Scott was a 1983 graduate of Huntington North High School. He had worked as a car salesman and at Oley’s Pizza.

Scott is survived by his step-mother, Helen Tarter, Fort Wayne, IN, one son, Christopher Tarter, Elizabeth Town, KY; one daughter, Priscilla Tarter, Fort Wayne, IN; two brothers, Ed (Anne) Tarter, Huntington, IN, Rob (Andrea) Tarter, Louisville, KY; one sister, Tammy Martin, Huntington, IN; one step-brother, Jerry McDowell; two step-sisters, Sue McDowell, Diane McDowell, both of Fort Wayne, IN; one granddaughter, Sophia Tarter; nieces, Dani, Erin, JonBenet, Heather; nephews, Chad and Cory; great niece, Hailey; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Robert and Neal Tarter, and John and Agnes Jurgensmeier.

Private services and burial will be at a later date.
