Sara "Sally" L. (Creager) Driscoll

Sara L. “Sally” Driscoll, 89, of Huntington, IN, passed away on February 16, 2023 at Waters of Huntington, Huntington, IN.  

Sally was born on October 9, 1933, in Huntington, IN, to Ferris and Celeste (Brown) Creager.  Her parents preceded her in death. 

 Sally was a 1951 graduate of Huntington High School. Sally retired in 1997 after 19 years as Head of the Children’s Department at JC Penney in Huntington, IN.   She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching sports and game shows on TV.

 Sally is survived by three sons, William (Deb Teeters) Driscoll, Sebring, FL, David (Heidi) Driscoll, Uniondale, IN, Daniel (Deb) Driscoll, Wimauma, FL; two daughters, Angela Garner and Teresa Stone, both of Huntington.   She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jamie (Teresa) Garner, Jeremy (Amanda) Garner, Brant (Robin) Driscoll, Taylor (Brandon) McCutcheon, Cole Stone; and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Brandon Driscoll and  Heith Garner; and one son-in-law, Don Garner.

 Calling hours will be held on Tuesday February 21, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN, with Fr. Tony Steinacker presiding.

 Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

 In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to either HAT of Huntington, Talking Books of Indianapolis, or the League of the Blind of Fort Wayne all in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
