Robert "Mike" Michael Schacht

Robert Michael “Mike” Schacht, age 68, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at The Waters of Huntington.

Mike was born on November 22, 1955, in Huntington, IN, to the late William F. Schacht II and Janet (Schenkel) Schacht Hafner. He married Nancy Mullins on June 26, 1992, and she survives and resides in Huntington.

Mike was a 1974 graduate of Huntington North High School and earned a business degree from Tri-State/Trine University. He had worked at Schacht Rubber Co., IMCO, Inc., and Northern Indiana Packaging Co. Mike was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Colts, Chicago Cubs, and the Indiana Hoosiers.

Along with his wife, Nancy, Mike is survived by one stepson, Randy W. (Andrea) Hare, Ossian, IN; one sister, Susan (David) VanDriessche, Placitas, NM; brother-in-law, Steven J. (Becky) Pfister, Huntington, IN; two step-grandchildren, Andrew Paul Hare, Trever Wayne Hare, both of Ossian, IN; two nieces, Lisa (Joel) Michel, Jennifer (Tim) Herman; and one nephew, Steven M. (Amanda) Pfister.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Anne Pfister.

To honor the wishes of Mike there will be no public services. Private services will be held at a later date for the family. Mike wrote, “ These are my wishes please do as I ask, I miss you all, but be happy for me”.
