Robert "Bob" E. Woodcox

Robert E. “Bob” Woodcox, age 77, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne.  Bob was born on February 21, 1945, in Marion, IN, to the late George and Cleo (McCafferty) Woodcox. Bob married Jennifer Wilfong on July 26, 1991, she survives and resides in Huntington.

Bob was a graduate of Mississinewa High School. He retired in 2011 from Havel Brothers as an HVAC Technician.   Bob was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 166.  Bob enjoyed working with wood and really enjoyed fixing just about anything that broke down.  You could find him in his shop listening to loud music while he worked.

Along with his wife he is survived by two sons, Robert E. Woodcox, Jr., Christopher (Katrina) Woodcox, Chico, CA;  two daughters, Michelle Woodcox, Chico, CA, Heather (John) Hughes, Sparks NV; one brother, George (Maria) Woodcox, Gas City, IN; two brother-in-law’s, Jeremiah (Hayley) Wilfong, Roanoke, IN, Jacob (Sammi) Wilfong, Bluffton, IN; his mother-in-law, Cathie Wilfong, Huntington, IN; and four grandchildren.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Woodcox, James Woodcox; one sister, Helen Pauline; and father-in-law, Butch Wilfong.

To honor Bob’s wishes there will be no services.

A private burial will be at a later date.
