Robert "Bob" L. Rains

Robert L. "Bob" Rains, 66, of Huntington, died Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 4:35 pm at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

He was born February 17, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, to Troy and Pauline Rains. He married Candy Richardson on September 27, 2019. She survives him in Huntington. 

Mr. Rains graduated from Huntington North High School in 1972, and from Ball State University in 1976. He retired from the Majestic Company in 2009, after 24 years of service in the Maintenance Department. He loved Elvis Presley, the Dallas Cowboys, and photography. He attended Life Church in Huntington.

Additional survivors include three children, Amanda (Alonzo) Wallace, Troy Rains, and Kari Rains; and stepchildren Angie Rice, Jason Richardson, Andrew Richardson, Stephanie Heath, and Stacy Lindsey; three grandchildren Desira Akohwarien, Jeremiah Rains, and Aaliyah Reed. and one great grandchild; fifteen step grandchildren; one sister, Tammy (Tim) Day, two nieces, two great nephews and two great nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Pauline Rains and one nephew.

A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Life Church, 900 E. State Street, Huntington, IN 46750.  Social distancing and masks are required.

A private burial will be at Markle Cemetery in Markle, IN, at a later date.
