Robert "Bob" Leming Pearson

Robert “Bob” Leming Pearson, age 79, of Huntington, IN, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, surrounded by his family.  

Bob was born on January 17, 1944, in Rushville, IN, to the late Paul Arthur and Ruth (Leming) Pearson.  He married Angela Dawne Garrison on October 28, 1967, at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Huntington.  She survives and resides in Huntington. 

Bob was a 1962 graduate of Selma High School, Selma, IN.  He was a Manager of Falvey’s Menswear Store for many years. He was a past board of Director of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #1014, lifetime honorary member of J.C.I. International Senate, and a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Huntington.  He loved collecting vintage automobiles and attending car shows.

Bob is survived by his wife, Angela; two daughters, Deela Jean (Bill) Bear, Kristi Dawn (Tim) Young, both of Huntington, IN; one brother, Richard Paul Pearson, Jasper, IN; grandchildren, Brandon Pearson, Shannon Combs, Shelby (Race) Newsome, Sydney Bowman (Tremar Clore); and two great-granddaughters, Vivan Kay Newsome and Vaeda Dawn Newsome.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one grandchild, Brittney Combs.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday August 5, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN, with Fr. Tony Steinacker presiding.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Andrews, IN.
