Robert “Bob” J. Gibson, 73, of Fort Wayne IN, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne, IN.
Bob was born on January 27, 1951, to Willard and Agatha (Harbor) Gibson. He married Ann “Annie” Caywood July 18, 1987. She survives and lives in Fort Wayne, IN.
Bob graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School. He worked for GTE/Verizon and Frontier. He was currently working for Indigital Fort Wayne, IN.
Bob is survived by his wife Annie; one son Matthew Gibson, South Bend IN; three brothers John (Lisa) Gibson, Fort Wayne, IN, Tim (Matt) Gibson, Churubusco, IN, and Tom (Karen) Gibson, San Diego, CA; one sister Deb (Joe) Farmer, Fort Wayne, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Billy “Batman” Gibson, Jim Gibson; and two sisters, Mary Beeler and Becky Gibson.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. all at McElhaney Funeral Home-Roanoke Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN.
Additional visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service at McElhaney Funeral Home-Roanoke Chapel with Pastor Phil Johnson officiating.
There will be a graveside service immediately following at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke, IN.
