Robert A. Caley Sr.

Robert A. Caley, Sr., 88 of Huntington, IN, passed away on April 1, 2022 at Heritage of Huntington, Huntington, IN.

      Mr. Caley was born on June 29, 1933, in Huntington, IN, to Dorman and Georgiana (Emily) Caley. His parents preceded him in death.  Robert married Catherine Huffman on May 3, 1958, in Huntington, IN.   She survives and resides in Huntington, IN.

      Mr. Caley served in the United States Army during the Korean War.   He retired from International Harvester after 30 years of service.   He also worked for Beaddes Dairy Farms for 20 years and at CF Industries.  He was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN.

     Along with his wife he is survived by two sons, Robert (Nancy) Caley, Jr., Peyton, CO, and John (Karen) Caley, Huntington, IN; one sister, Shelby Osborn, Huntington, IN; and 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

   Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Dale Caley; two brothers, William (Bill) Caley, and Ed Caley; and three sisters, Dorothy Walters, Esther Scott and Shirley Larr.

       Rosary service will be at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2022 with viewing to follow till 11:00 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St. Huntington, IN 46750.

    Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Tony Steinaker, presiding.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Huntington Catholic School in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.

     Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
