Robert E. Bushee

Robert E. Bushee, age 76, a resident of Peabody Retirement Home, North Manchester, IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN.

Bob was born on July 27, 1948, in Huntington, IN, to the late Donald and Mary (Reust) Bushee.  Bob married Debra Reed in 1972, and she survives and resides in North Manchester.  

Bob was a 1966 graduate of Huntington Catholic High School and then proudly served in the United States Army in Germany and Vietnam. He worked in maintenance at United Technologies in Huntington and later as a semi driver for Hiner Transport.  Bob was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a life member of VFW #2689.

Along with his wife, Debra, he is survived by two daughters, Tamara (Pete) LaFaucia, Fort Wayne, IN, Angel (Scott) Lewis, Huntington; two sisters, Linda (Kevin) Goodnight, Huntington, IN, Joyce (Gregory) Benjock, Mt. Pleasant, SC; sister-in-law, Deanne Bushee, Huntington, IN; 5 grandchildren, Jessica (Dallas) Hammett, Trevor (Aleah) Wiley, Jarod (Brynn) Lewis, Chandler Lewis, Elizabeth LaFaucia; and one great-grandson, Carter Hammett.

Along with Bob’s parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Bushee.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 8:45 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025, with calling hours from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial all at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, with Fr. Thomas Zehr presiding.

The burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
