Richard "Dick" Eugene Shaffer

Richard “Dick” Eugene Shaffer, age 70, of Huntington, IN, died on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at his residence in Huntington.

Dick was born on August 11, 1954, in Whitley County, IN, to the late Donald Eugene and Claudine (Bauer) Shaffer. He married Vickie Lynn Smith on September 3, 1988, and she survives and resides in Huntington.

Dick was a 1972 graduate of Huntington Catholic High School. He worked at Noll Printing in Huntington and later at Craft Line Printing in Fort Wayne. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Huntington.

Along with his wife, Vickie, he is survived by one daughter, Karisa Shaffer (fiancé Trenton Scott), Huntington, IN; one brother, Daniel (Jacqualyn) Shaffer, Huntington, IN; and 5 grandchildren, Kaydence, Kailynn, KaliAnn, Kendall and Layla.

To honor the wishes of Dick there will be no services.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

A private burial will be at a later date.
