Rebecca S. (Harness) Cozad

Rebecca Cozad, 73, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at her residence in Huntington.

Rebecca was born on October 26, 1947, in Hartford City, IN, to Robert and Armella (McDonald) Harness. Her parents preceded her in death.  She married Terrance Cozad on February 27, 1965, and he preceded her in death in 2002.

Rebecca had worked at Memcor in Huntington for many years.  She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Huntington.

Rebecca is survived by one son, Chris Cozad, Huntington, IN; two sisters, Lynn Black, Huntington, IN, Betty (Paul) McCune, TN; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Cozad, Jason D. Cozad; one brother, Rob Harness; and one sister, Marsha Anders.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am, at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, Indiana, with Pastor Tim Lorenz officiating.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
