Ralph J. Coffield

Ralph J. Coffield, age 80, Huntington, IN, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at his residence.

Ralph was born on May 31, 1941, in Blackford County, IN, to Ralph and Mary (Bedwell) Coffield.  His parents preceded him in death.  Ralph married Linda K. Tschannen and she preceded him in death on July 18, 1990.

Ralph was a high school graduate and served in the United States Army as a typist/clerk.   He was a truck driver for many years and had worked at DTF/Dana in Fort Wayne, IN. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Bluffton and the American Legion.

Ralph is survived by two sons, Bill (Gladys) Coffield, Craigville, IN, Norman (Mary) Coffield, Bluffton, IN; three daughters, Lin Coffield, Joy Coffield, both of Berne, IN, Kelli Coffield, Andrews, IN; two brothers, Max Coffield, John (Dolores) Roberts, both of Huntington; one sister, Mary Kay (Roger) Stine, Hartford City, IN; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Coffield and Bob Coffield.

To honor the wishes of Ralph there will be no services or calling hours.

A private graveside will be at Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.
