Phyllis Jane (Weaver) Moore

Phyllis Jane Moore, age 77, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at The Waters of Huntington.

Phyllis was born on June 8, 1949, in Huntington, IN, to the late Charles and Josephine Jane (Coughlin) Weaver.  She married Charles Moore on July 7, 1988, and he preceded her in death on September 14, 2016.

Phyllis graduated from Huntington High School in 1967 and worked as a Quality Control Manager for several nursing homes. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Huntington and previously attended the Columbia City congregation while she and her husband lived in South Whitley.

Phyllis is survived by one son, Jason Coffman, Pierceton, IN; two brothers, Edwin Gordon, Huntington, IN,  John Gordon, Fort Wayne, IN; three sisters, Marilyn Dennison, Huntington, IN, Beth Ann (Bill) Martin, Andrews, IN, Kim Weaver, Fort Wayne, IN; and two granddaughters, Courtney Coffman and Kristin Coffman.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffery Gordon; and three sisters, Emily Baker, Sharon Frantz, and Kathleen Vice.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.  

Burial will be at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
