Phyllis M. Bragg, age 89, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026.
Phyllis was born on August 18, 1936, in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Rolland and Ila Ruth (Adamson) Dibble. Her first marriage was to Max H. Stinson for 49 years; and then she married Wayman Bragg who preceded her in death.
Phyllis raised her children and she also enjoyed working at Target in Fort Wayne, shopping and collecting her antiques. She enjoyed having an antique booth in Grabill, Huntington and Decatur for a short time. She had also waitressed at Starlite Café in Wabash. Phyllis was involved with the PTA at Heritage Jr. Sr. High School in Monroeville and she attended the Antioch Lutheran Church in Hoagland.
Phyllis is survived by four sons, Jack (Vivian) Stinson, Ossian, IN, Daniel (Pamela) Stinson, Decatur, IN, Michael (Erin) Stinson, Prebble, IN, Randy (Sonya) Stinson, Decatur, IN; two daughters, Trudy Jones, Fort Wayne, IN, Debbie (Sean) Maroney, Huntertown, IN; one brother, Arthur (Bev) Dibble, Fort Wayne, IN; 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one great grandson, Brycen Lee Jones.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service at McElhaney Funeral Home – Roanoke Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN 46783, with Pastor Josef Henning officiating.
Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN, 46783.
