Paul H. Weicht

Paul H. Weicht, 62, of Columbia City and formerly of Huntington, IN, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021, at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN.

Paul was born on March 12, 1959, in Huntington to Charles E. and Lola (Kohnke) Weicht. His parents preceded him in death. He married Beverly Riddile. She survives and resides in Columbia City.

Paul was a 1977 graduate of Huntington North High School. He has owned and operated Paul’s Refrigeration & Appliance since 1989. He had a Maytag dealership in Huntington for many years and had taught HVAC at Ivy Tech. 

Paul had also worked Security at the War Memorial Coliseum, Parkview Field, St. Michael’s Lutheran Church and St. Francis all in Fort Wayne. He loved music and played the bass guitar.  He was an avid gun enthusiast and was a Huntington County Reserve Officer and a member of the Rescue Team.

Along with his wife he is survived by two brothers, Peter Weicht, Wolcottville; Matthew Weicht, Huntington; two nephews, Peter Weicht, Jacob Weicht; and one niece, Samantha Weicht.

To honor the wishes of Paul, there will be no calling or funeral services.

A private burial will be at a later date.
