Michael D Wintrode

Michael D Wintrode, 65, of Huntington, IN passed away on April 30, 2021 at his residence.

Michael was born in Huntington, Indiana on September 13, 1955 to Daniel and Nadine (Gothard) Wintrode.  His parents preceded him in death. Mike married Carla Stoffel on January 3, 1976.  His wife of 45 years survives in Huntington, IN.

Mike graduated from Huntington North High School in 1975.  He was a Tool and Die Journeyman at Huntington Sheet Metal. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where he was active in many groups throughout the church.  Mike was a 3^rd Degree in the Knights of Columbus.  He was also an avid golfer. In addition to golf, Mike enjoyed camping, horseback riding and playing cards with family and friends.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Along with his wife, he is survived by one son, Jordan Michael (Jasa) Wintrode, McFarland, Wisconsin; one daughter, Jennifer Danielle (Jesse) Davis, Andrews, IN; one brother, Dan (Fay) Wintrode, Huntington, IN; and one sister, Kat Wintrode, Huntington, IN.; and eight grandchildren, Madeline, Elsie, Olive, Josie, Harrison, Amelia, Isla, and Sylvia Davis.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 12:45 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington, IN. 

A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington, IN with Father Tony Steinacker presiding.

Burial will follow the Mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

 In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Huntington County Relay for Life in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.

The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on You Tube @ SSPP Huntington.
