Michael A. Kistler, 61, of Huntington, IN, passed away at Visiting Nurse & Hospice, Fort Wayne, IN, on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
Michael was born on May 25, 1959, in Wayne, MI, to Frank and Delores (Morelan) Kistler. His parents preceded him in death. He married Ann M. Scher on September 5, 2009. She survives and resides in Huntington, IN.
Michael was a graduate of Huntington North High School. He worked in Tool & Die. He was a member of College Park United Brethren Church in Huntington. He loved music, woodworking, the Chicago Cubs and camping with his grandchildren.
Along with his wife, he is survived by one step-son, Jared (Kristen) Keyser, Whitestown, IN; one step-daughter, Megan (Kendall) Barrus, Huntington, IN; one sister, Pam (Kevin) Gilbert, Syracuse, IN; two grandchildren, Leo Cornett and Kade Barrus.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Kistler; and one brother, Frank Kistler.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021, from 10:00 a.m.to 12:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
A Funeral Service will follow the calling on Saturday, at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Due to the Executive Order face masks and social distancing are required at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
