Michael Joseph Bushee

Michael Joseph Bushee, 69, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at his residence.

Michael was born on October 2, 1950, in Huntington, IN, to Donald and Mary (Reust) Bushee.  His parents preceded him in death.  Mike married Deanne Boyer on April 23, 1977.   She survives and resides in Huntington.

Mike was a 1968 graduate of Huntington Catholic High School.  He worked as a pressman for Noll Printing from 1970-1995, and also worked at Huntington Herald Press for 10 years and then Courier Printers in Kendallville until his retirement in 2013. Mike was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 3rd degree member of Knights of Columbus #1014 which he was an active member and the Financial Secretary for many years.   He was also a former member of the Moose Lodge and Sons of the Union Veterans. Mike and his wife loved to travel with friends to blue grass festivals.   He loved Civil War history, watching sports and especially loved Notre Dame, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Detroit Tigers.

Along with his wife, Deanne, he is survived by one brother, Robert (Debra) Bushee, Fort Wayne, IN; two sisters, Linda (Kevin) Goodnight, Huntington, IN, Joyce (Gregory) Benjock, Mt. Pleasant, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 p.m., at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.

Additional calling will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, with Father Stephen Colchin presiding.

A private burial will be at a later date at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Masses, Compassus Hospice Care, or to the Bushee family for an organization of their choice all in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN  46750.
