Matthew Scott Jaggers

Matthew Scott Jaggers, age 29, of Huntington, IN, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Matthew was born on October 9, 1995, in Fort Wayne, IN, to Todd Jaggers and Carrie Wilson.

Matt was a 2014 graduate of Huntington North High School.  He worked for Laborers’ International Union Local 213 in Fort Wayne. Matt was a vibrant personality who lit up every room he walked into. His outgoing, charismatic, and friendly personality brought him countless friendships.

Matt brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. He had a gift of making people feel seen, heard, and valued and his friendships were something he treasured deeply.

As a son and brother, Matt was a constant source of support and love. He cared deeply for his family and friends. His adventurous spirit, boundless energy, and zest for life will be missed more than words can express.

Though he may no longer be with us in person, his legacy of love and friendship will never be forgotten.

Matt is survived by his father, Todd Jaggers, Huntington, IN; mother, Carrie Wilson, Fort Wayne, IN; 5 sisters, Carly Jaggers, Tabitha (Mathew Neely), Maranda Jaggers, Lexi Wilson, Kaylie Houser, maternal grandparents, Brian and Connie McClurg, and his beloved dog, Harley.

Matt is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald and Nancy Jaggers; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Melanie Wilson; and aunt, Stacy Firks.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 5:00 p.m. all at Life Church, 900 East State Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
