MaryLou J. (DeBock) Rahr

MaryLou J. Rahr,74, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne, IN.

MaryLou was born on November 5, 1947, in Sittard, Netherlands to Jack and Mary (Demarteau) DeBock. Her parents preceded her in death.  

She married Dale Bruce Rahr October 10, 1970, he preceded her in death March 31, 1986.

MaryLou graduated in 1967 from Otto-Eldred High School in Eldred, PA.  She retired from Johnson Junction after 20 years as a retail clerk. 
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington, IN.

MaryLou is survived by one son, Jason (Kellie) Rahr, Anderson, IN; two daughters, Nicole (Jim) Hahn, Andrews, IN, and Brandi (Kain) Vanover, Lewiston, ID; two brothers, Frank DeBock, Eldred, PA, and Anthony (Julie) DeBock, Bradford, PA; three sisters, Gertrude (Julian) Baldoni, Eldred, PA, Anne (Larry) DiCenzo, Charleston, SC, and Jacqueline (Doug) Mitchell, Pittsford, NY.  She was also survived by nine grandchildren;  Chelsea Vanover, Paige Vanover, Cota Hahn, Tess Hahn, Jordan Norrod, Samantha Rahr, Gavin Rahr, AnnaElizabeth Davis, and Carly Jaggers; two great-grandchildren, Haley-James Norrod and Ricky Owen Pickett.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 3:30 p.m. prior to the calling on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 4:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.

One hour of calling will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St Mary Catholic Church 903 North Jefferson St.  Huntington, IN. with Father Thomas Zehr presiding.

A private interment will be held at a later date at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN. 

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to the family in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.
