Mary Jo Williams, age 73, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
Mary Jo was born on November 16, 1950, in Logansport, IN to the late Harry G. and Thelma (Zeck) Williams. Her three sisters are Diane, Katie and Monica.
Mary Jo became part of the Pathfinders family in 1988. She volunteered at the City Building and at Bethesda Freewill Baptist Church in Andrews cleaning, and at Bethel United Methodist Church folding bulletins. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She was known for her straightforwardness and her unwavering belief in putting people first, especially when she herself was “the people”. She had a fondness for McDonalds sweet tea, diet coke and banana pudding. Mary Jo loved activities like bowling, and scenic car rides to see buffalo and ducks.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Bethesda Freewill Baptist Church, Andrews, IN, 46702.
A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2024 with Rev. Matt Snoderly officiating at Bethesda Freewill Baptist Church, Andrews, IN, 46702.
Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Pathfinders, and Special Olympics -Bowling in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.
