Mark A. Parker, age 64, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at his residence.
Mark was born on October 15, 1959, in Huntington, IN, to the late James E. and Eloise L. (Allman) Parker.
Mark was a 1978 graduate of Huntington Catholic High School. He worked in Quality Control for over 20 years at Wabash Magnetics in Huntington. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
Mark loved his kids and family and enjoyed fishing and going to the lake. He loved working in his yard, listening to music, collecting, and tinkering with clocks. He was very artistic and inquisitive since a young age. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
Mark is survived by two sons, P. J. (Moriah) Parker, Redkey, IN, Colin (Kylie) Parker, Marion, IN; one daughter, Sarah D. (Matt Okuly) Parker, Monroeville, AL; adopted son, Josh Helms, Huntington, IN; four sisters; Jan F. Parker, Huntington, IN., Laura Christine “Chris” (Carla Stafford) Parker, Fort Wayne, IN., Sara L. (Robert) Parker-Milligan, Fort Wayne, IN., Maria C. Parker (Michael Freeman), Uniondale, IN; two brothers, Vincent J. (Josephine) Parker, Nicholas J. Parker, and 6 grandchildren, Blake, Remy, Zahra, Sean, Mavis, and Peter.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
Additional calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN, 46750, with Fr. Tony Steinacker presiding.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to McElhaney Funeral Home to help the family with expenses.
A private burial will be at a later date at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
