Marjorie Ann Hedrick, age 91, formerly of Huntington, IN, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN.
Mrs. Hedrick was born on December 5, 1930, in Tipton, IN, to Donald and Georgia (McCauley) Wardwell. Her parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Hedrick married Jerald Hedrick and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1999.
Mrs. Hedrick was a homemaker and a former grocery clerk at Joe & Peg’s Grocery and Owen’s. She was a long time member of Mt. Etna United Methodist Church, Mt. Etna, IN.
Marjorie was known as the best fudge maker around. She loved to bake, enjoyed puzzles, knitting hats, playing bingo and loved the color blue.
Mrs. Hedrick is survived by three daughters, Sue (Dan) Rumple, Huntington, IN; Becky (Steve) Plummer, Winter Haven, FL; Lori (Lee) All, Monroe, IN; two sisters, Donna (Howard) DeHaven, Clarabelle Walton, both of Warren, IN. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Mike Hedrick.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a 12:00 p.m. Memorial Service at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN, with Dr. Josh Pagan officiating. .
Burial will be in Mt. Etna Cemetery, Mt. Etna, IN.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Mt. Etna United Methodist Church or the Supportive Care Unit –Hospice at Parkview Randallia Hospital in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
