Margaret Rose Hinman, age 87, of Roanoke, IN, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Parkview Randallia in Fort Wayne, IN. Margaret was born on December 7, 1936, in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Herbert and Florence Pauline (Mayberry) Doege. She married Harold Hinman on May 23, 1953, and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2003.
Margaret was a graduate of Roanoke High School. She was a housewife and foster care provider for many years. She was involved with community organizations and enjoyed her time with the Red Hat Society, Jaycees in Roanoke, and the Purdue Home Economic Club. Margaret attended the Seminary United Methodist Church in Roanoke and enjoyed making ceramics.
Margaret is survived by one son, Robin (Cathleen) Hinman, Huntington, IN; 6 grandchildren, Dirk Hayward, Zackary Hayward, Jesse Hinman, Starlet Hinman, Levi Hinman, Lacie Hinman; 11 great-grandchildren; and one foster child, Vickey Scott, Greenville, IN.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Gale Hinman; one brother, Paul Doege; and one sister, Sharon Meek.
A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 11am at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke, IN.
