Lynn A. Walter, age 81, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN.
Lynn was born on December 22, 1943, in Huntington, IN, to the late W. Delbert and Palma (Hunter) Walter. Lynn married Yvette L. Lofland on May 29, 1965, and they were blessed to celebrate 60 wonderful years together with their family recently.
Lynn was a 1962 graduate of Clear Creek High School. He then graduated from Huntington College with a degree in Education and then received his master’s degree from St. Francis in Fort Wayne. Lynn was an Elementary school teacher for many years and then worked at Smith Furniture for 20 years. Later, Lynn enjoyed being a self-employed “handyman” known for restoring and upholstering furniture. He also enjoyed freelance photography in his free time. Lynn attended the Calvary Temple in Fort Wayne.
Along with his wife, Yvette, Lynn is survived by three daughters, Denise (Michael) James, Melissa Wesco, both of Huntington, Natalie (Kip) Thorne, South Whitley, IN; one son, Brent (Tracy) Walter, Huntington, IN; one brother, Brian (Ronda) Walter, Mt. Juliet, TN; three sisters, Anita (Jeffrey) Stewart, Warren, IN, Diane Six, Jenison, MI, Marla (Jim) Wolf, Huntington, IN; 4 grandchildren, Alanna (Joel Knight) Wesco, Collin (Courtney) Wesco, Wyatt James, Emily (Jacob) Haneline; and 3 great-grandchildren, Karoline, Warner and Lawson.
There will be a private family service followed by a burial at Beech Grove Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
