Larry L. Poling

     

Larry L. Poling, 81, Huntington, IN, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at the Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, IN.

 

Mr. Poling was born on March 20, 1940, to Robert and Betty Jean (Norton) Poling in Elwood, IN. His parents preceded him in death. Larry married Karen Abner on December 14, 2001.  She survives in Huntington, IN. 

 

Larry was a 1958 graduate of Marion High School. He was a retired Law Enforcement officer, with 30 years on the Indiana State Police and 20 years on the Huntington County Sheriff Department. Larry enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.  He loved crossword puzzles and found Diamond Painting very relaxing. 

 

Along with his wife Karen, Larry is survived by one son, Lance Poling, Sylvania, OH; two daughters, Lesa Crawford, Fort Wayne, IN, and Laura (Lyle) Juillerat, Huntington, IN; two step-sons, Jason (Jenny) Keefer, St. Augustine, FL, and Brad Keefer, Fort Wayne, IN and one step-daughter, Sarah Wilson, Fort Wayne, IN; one brother, Terry (Maxine) Poling, Jonesboro, IN.  He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ryan (Allison) Crawford, Mark (Sam) Crawford, and Sara (Corey Tom) Crawford; Logan (Kayla) Juillerat and Lucas (Shelby) Juillerat; Lextin Keefer and Bjorn Wilson; and four great grandchildren, Ava Crawford, Rylee Crawford and Margo Crawford and Gideon Juillerat.

 

He was preceded in death by one great grandson, Zane Crawford.
