Larry R. Herring

Larry R. Herring, 70, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020, at his residence.

 Larry was born on November 14, 1949 in Huntington, IN.  His parents were Richard and Nancy (Isenbarger) Herring. His parents preceded him in death.  Larry married Theresa Edwards on May 8, 1970. She survives and resides in Huntington.

 Larry graduated from Huntington North High School in 1968.  Larry served in the United States Marines.  Larry retired from Victory Noll where he worked maintenance for 25 years.  Larry was a softball coach and worked construction.

 Along with his wife, Theresa, he is survived by one daughter, Amy Watkins, Huntington, IN. Also surviving are three brothers, Mike (Debbie) Herring, Huntington, IN, Dennis Herring and Mark Herring ; and  two sisters, Sherri Cooper, North Carolina and Christi Carr, Arkansas.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Tyler Morgan, North Manchester, IN, Brett (Courtney) Carpenter, Huntington, IN, and Gage Watkins, Urbana, IN; and two great-grandchildren, Tobias and Beckett Carpenter, Huntington, IN.; his exchange student that he considered as one of his daughters,  Chantal Muskens, Holland.

 Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tricia Ness.

 Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.

 A private service will be held at a later date.
