Kathy A. (Feighner) Hemker

Kathy A. Hemker, 69, of Andrews, IN, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020, at her residence.           

Kathy was born on May 12, 1950, in Huntington to Charles and Lucy (Walters) Feighner.  Her parents preceded her in death.  Kathy married Ronald L. Hemker on July 11, 1992, and he survives and resides in Andrews.

Kathy graduated from Huntington High School in 1968. She was a laborer at Memcor and retired from Wabash Magnetics.   Kathy was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Post 85 Ladies Auxiliary. Kathy was an avid collector of Penguins.

Along with her husband, Ron, she is survived by one son, Scott (companion Misty) Poe, Andrews, IN; adopted daughter, Jennifer Bennett, Markle, IN; two grandsons, Logan Poe, Garrett; and two granddaughters, Harley and Sierra.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Feighner.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Tony Steinacker presiding.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
