Judy D. Gooley age 78, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the
Heritage of Huntington.
Judy was born on March 26, 1946, in Huntington, IN, to the late Dale and Marietta (Bowman)
Hoffman. She married Robert Gooley on August 16, 1964, He survives in Huntington, IN.
Judy was a 1964 graduate of Huntington High School. She retired form Bendix after 25 years
of service.
Judy was a true animal lover. From her fascination with owls, to her cherished Bull Mastiff
Barney and Boxer Roxy, to the stray cats she would take in off the street, Judy’s deep love
filled her house and heart.
She loved gospel music especially the Gaithers and She enjoyed listening to Evangelist Perry
Stone.
With Her husband Bob’s help, she blossomed into an excellent cook that was always looking
for the next great recipe.
Along with her husband, Robert, she is survived by one son Joshua Gooley, Huntington, IN
four daughters, Michelle Gooley (Craig Metcalf) Huntertown, IN, Dawn Marn, Huntington, IN,
Tiffany Fettinger (James) and Sarah Allen (Antoine) Fort Wayne, IN. One Brother Michael
(Jan) Hoffman, Huntington, IN. Eleven Grandchildren Alexys, Isiah, Claire, Benjamin, Maria,
Blayde, Eaden, Athena, Tatihana, Keyahrrah and Keyahnnak.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Diane (Wes) Moeck, sons-in-
law Matt Konger and Jeremy Marn and grandchildren Peter, Gabriel and David Fettinger.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
followed by a funeral service at 12 Noon at McElhaney Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson St,
Huntington, IN 46750.
The burial will be at Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Huntington County Humane Shelter or Riley
Children’s Hospital both in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street,
Huntington, IN 46750.
