Joshua James Kuzemka, age 29, of Roanoke, IN, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at his residence.
Josh was born on July 5, 1995, in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late James Kuzemka and Michelle (Honey) Kuzemka who survives and lives in Roanoke, IN.
Josh was a 2014 graduate of Huntington North High School. Josh loved to fish, game and was known to be an excellent grill master.
Along with his mother, Michelle, he is survived by his son, Zandr Kuzemka, Huntington, IN, bonus son, Christopher Sturgill, Huntington, IN; sister, Jamie Miller, Fort Wayne, IN; nephew, Aiden Miller; niece, Aurora Miller; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Josh’s life was wrought with struggles over personal battles he fought bravely for years. He struggled with alcohol addiction, and, despite his strength and the love that surrounded him, his demons ultimately overcame him. He leaves behind a family who loved him fiercely and will forever remember him. His story is a painful reminder of the grip addiction can have. Calling hours to remember Josh will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a 3:00 p.m. Funeral Service at McElhaney Funeral Home - Roanoke Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN, 46783.
A private burial will be at a later date.
