Jon J. Dennis

Jon J. Dennis, age 66, of Roanoke, IN, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Jon was born on December 26, 1956, in Huntington, IN, to the late Verlin Wayne and Eva Marie (Wolf) Dennis. He is survived by his life partner of 40 years, Karla Keplinger.

Jon was a 1975 graduate of Huntington North.  He enjoyed working with his work family at Dennis Grain for over 40 years. He was a farmer and loved driving his tractor.  He enjoyed golfing, IU basketball, and was a Chicago Bears football fan.

Along with his life partner, Karla, he is survived by his brothers, Mike (Linda) Dennis, Fort Wayne, IN, Matt Dennis, Roanoke, IN; sister, Jo Ellen (Greg) Morris, Roanoke, IN; and his dog, Pooky.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 4:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at McElhaney Funeral Home – Roanoke Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN, 46783.

A private burial will be at a later date at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke, IN.
