Joe Reust, Jr., age 68, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Joe was born on May 17, 1957, in Huntington, IN, to the late Alfred J. & Mary A. (Smart) Reust, Sr. He married Pamela J. Holthaus on September 18, 1982, and she survives and resides in Huntington.
Joe was a 1975 graduate of Huntington North High School. He was a printer and journey pressman for many years at Noll Printing, Mignone and EP Graphics. He also worked at Slater Steel. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Huntington, 1st degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1014, and a Boy Scout leader.
Along with his wife, Pam, he is survived by four sons, Andy (Darby) Reust, Liberty Township, OH, Matt (Tara) Reust, Cincinnati, OH, Scott (Meaggie) Reust, South Bend, IN, Sean Reust, Warren, IN; five grandchildren, Cora, Ethan, Aria, Eleanor, Noah; and two brothers, Timothy (Audrey) Reust, Kalamazoo, MI, and Brian (Karen) Reust, Huntington, IN.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 3:30 p.m., at McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
Additional calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial and 11:00 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN 46750, with Fr. Tony Steinacker presiding.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to HAT (Huntington Area Transportation), Boy Scouts of America, or Huntington Catholic School in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
