Jerry Lee Allred

Jerry Lee Allred, age 87, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at his residence in Huntington.        

Mr. Allred was born on July 14, 1937, in Lancaster, IN, to the late Stanley and Anna Ruth (Smith) Allred. He married Sharon Rose Bartrom on August 11, 1956, and they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage before her passing on August 25, 2022.

Jerry was a truck driver for many years, but his passion was his mechanical skills where he specialized in steam engines and old cars.

Jerry is survived by two sons, David Allred, Stanley Allred, both of Huntington; one daughter, Sherry (Stan) Dyke, Huntington; one sister, Patricia Burnau, Huntington, IN; four grandchildren, Jeremey (Rebecca) Dyke, Sheena (Jonathon) Collins, Daniel Allred, David Allred; and three great-grandchildren, Khaleesi, Kerrigan and Delaney.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Danny Allred; five brothers, Rex Allred, George Allred, Lloyd Allred, Joe Allred, Richard Allred; and one daughter-in-law, Ann Allred.

A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Mt. Etna Cemetery.
