Jason David Price

Jason David Price, Age 31, of Woodburn, IN died on Thursday, July 17, 2025. Jason was born in Fort Wayne, IN, in 1993 to David Price and Jonilyn Price (Smith).

Jason enjoyed many hobbies from hunting, fishing, making maple syrup, honeybees, golfing, kayaking, and many more.  Many of which have grown into a lifetime of memories. Jason thrived athletically enjoying football and baseball. Jason graduated from Woodlan High School in 2012. Jason loved the outdoors, and landscaping was just the right fit.  Jason started his own business knowing he could do it and with his parents’ help and his wife, Samantha, he did it. Together they ran a successful family landscaping business, JP Landscaping & Lawn Care LLC. Jason married his beautiful wife Samantha Shipley in 2021 that he loved dearly. Jason also gained his beloved dog Ruca. He taught her to walk off the sidewalk and to hunt! From pointing at squirrels and rabbits to real rabbit and pheasant hunting. Ruca’s Favorite thing was all the adventures and lake walks with her dad. Jason and his wife bought a gorgeous homestead property. With that came the cats Mila and Freda. Jason then became a father to Violet Price in 2024. He was a great, wonderful, loving and caring Husband/Father/Son/Brother to his wife, baby girl Violet, family and all the friends Jason has gained over the years. The family business will continue on for Jason with Jason at the heart of it all.   

Jason is survived by his wife, Samantha Shipley Price, daughter, Violet Price, father, David Price, mother, Jonilyn (Smith) Price, sister, Burgundy (Price) Hankenson, and niece, Romie Hankenson. 

Jason was preceded in death by his Grandmother Jeanne Smith. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated and will be put towards Violet’s future endeavors. The family also plans to plant trees in Jason’s name.
