Janice Hacker, 101, Warren, IN, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Heritage Pointe, Warren, IN.
Mrs. Hacker was born on May 4, 1920, in Lancaster Township, Huntington County to Rosco C. and Nina L (Ulrich) Wiley. Her parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Hacker married Dale E. Hacker on July 4, 1941. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2012.
Janice was a 1938 graduate of Lancaster Township High School. She was a homemaker and an active member at the First Church of the Nazarene for over 70 years. Janice participated in many facets of the church.
Mrs. Hacker is survived by a son, John E. (Sherry) Hacker, Huntington; three grandchildren: Julie A. (Kenny) Wilson, Huntington, IN, Natalie S. McCoy, Fort Wayne, IN, David (Loren) Rich, Brownsburg, IN; one step grandchild, Shane (Tina) Bennett, Bluffton, IN; 10 great-grandchildren, Amanda (Zach) Vaught, Anthony (Audra) Wilson, Alex (Kelsey) Wilson, Abby McCoy, Conner McCoy, Parker McCoy, Adriana (Kiser) Franklin, Raquel Rich, and Camellia Rich; 4 step-great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Janice was preceded in death by a daughter; Marjorie S. Ingram; two brothers, I. H. Wiley, Robert W. Wiley; and a sister, Maxine M. Foudy.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to the Growing Place Preschool in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.
Viewing hours will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Road, Huntington, IN, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
