James “Ed” Edwin Hollowell, 79, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at his residence.
Ed was born on June 12, 1943, in Huntington, IN, to H. Lowell and Helen Frances (Schenkel) Hollowell. His parents preceded him in death. He married Kathy Jill Williams. She survives and resides in Huntington.
Ed was a 1961 graduate of Lancaster High School and served in the United State Army Airborne Unit. He was a member of Pilchers Chapel and VFW #2689. Ed was a people person and didn’t know a stranger and loved to talk to everyone he met.
Along with his wife he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Audra) Hollowell, OH, Jeremy (Amie) Hollowell, Andrews, IN; one daughter, Sarah (Bob) Heaton, Sweetwater, TN; one brother, Larry (Margaret) Hollowell, Huntington; 8 grandchildren, Stewart, Kelsey, Matt, Cameron, Hunter, Jordan, Sammie, Maverick, and one great granddaughter, Clary.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Hollowell.
There will be no calling or service hours.
A private burial will be at a later date.
