James Thompson Obituary

James A. Thompson, age 52, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023, at IU Health University Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.

James was born on March 23, 1971, in Muncie, IN, to Blaine Thompson and Debra (Keith) McCormick Anderson, Marion, IN.   His father preceded him in death.  He married Diana Price on July 7, 2007, and she survives and resides in Huntington.

James was a 1990 graduate of Blackford High School.  He was a supervisor at Novae for over 16 years.   James was a loving husband, father, son, and brother and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Along with his mother and wife, James is survived by one daughter, Abigail Thompson, Upland, IN; one step-son, Michael Bodkins, Marion, IN; sister, Jennifer (Jeff) Meyer, Huntington, IN; four grandchildren, Baylon (Madison) Bodkins, Zane Bodkins, Isaac Bodkins, Brooklyn Bodkins; one great-granddaughter, Brinley Bodkins; nieces and nephews, Victoria (Jordan) Riggs, Brooke (Collin) Smith, Zach (Sarah) Myers; great nieces and nephews, Braylin Riggs, Isabelle Riggs, Wyatt Riggs and Graham Smith.

Along with his father he was preceded in death by a step-son, Gary Bodkins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at 804 Bartlett Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.

A private burial will be at a later date.
