James E. Johnson

James E. Johnson, age 81, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at his residence. James was born on January 27, 1944, in Weeksbury, Kentucky, to the late James Ellis and Ora Mae (Coleman) Johnson. He married Margaret A. (VanWyk) Price  on January 3, 1981, she preceded him in death November 7, 2024.
        
James worked for Majestic in Huntington for 34 years. He enjoyed woodworking.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He is survived by seven sons, Todd (Kathy) Johnson, Tracy Johnson, Rodger Johnson, all of Huntington, IN, John Price, Warren, IN, Larry “Butch” (Karen) Price, Huntington, IN, Mark (Londa) Price, LA, Dennis (Mitzi) Price, Salem, IN; three daughters, Lorie (Kenny) Foust, Andrews, IN, Pam (Sam) Stouder, Huntington, IN, Trina Johnson, Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Oma Jo (Kermit) Johnson, Miamisburg, OH, and Linda (Denton) Houston, Jenkins, KY; seventeen grandchildren, Jay, Telinda, Trisha, Sandra, Brandi, Joshua, Rochelle, Joseph, Jacob, Michelle, Anthony, Kelsey, Devan, Joey, Emma, James, Andrew; and many great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Margaret Jones and a grandchild Jeffery Price.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00p.m., followed by a noon Funeral Service at McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750, with Pastor Jason Fields officiating.

Burial will be at Monument City Memorial Cemetery, Andrews, Indiana.
